Week 1 continued...

Friday was such a blast!!!

Hanging out at the climbing tree.

Our art instructor, Hilary!

They didn't even know it was comin'...

SOAKED!!!!

What a special treat! Watching artist Charles Dickson work on his sculpture for
the Forces of Nature art exhibition at the Arboretum in December.

Charles shows us one of his one-of-a-kind homemade tools.

Taking a closer look at one of Charles' smaller sculptures.

After watching Charles work, we tried making our own sculptures with bars
of ivory soap and spoons as our carving tools.

Lucky wanted to try making his very own soap sculpture!

One of our favorite things about Fridays... water balloon fights with the counselors!

Ready to take a closer look under the microscope.

After an introduction & discussion about the work of artist Andy Goldsworthy,
campers set out to create their very own ephemeral nature installations!

Connor channels his inner artist.

Counselor Alex's beautiful creation!

Can you find the hawk?

Campers set out on a morning hike with their favorite counselors..

... and discover a whole "gaggle" of geese along the way!

Discovering the "Avatar" tree.
